Restorative Dentistry

When dental problems arise, our restorative treatments aim to restore function and aesthetics:

White Fillings

White fillings, also known as composite fillings, are used to repair teeth that have been damaged by decay, cracks, or minor fractures. Unlike traditional metal fillings, composite fillings are carefully matched to the natural colour of your teeth, allowing them to blend seamlessly with your smile.

During the procedure, the decayed portion of the tooth is gently removed and replaced with a strong composite material that restores the tooth’s shape and function.

Benefits of white fillings include:

  • Natural-looking appearance

  • Strong and durable restoration

  • Preserves more of the natural tooth structure

  • Bonds securely to the tooth for added support

White fillings are an excellent option for restoring both front and back teeth while maintaining a natural smile.

Crowns and Bridges

Dental crowns and bridges are restorative treatments used to repair damaged teeth or replace missing ones.

A dental crown is a custom-made cap that fits over a weakened or damaged tooth to restore its strength, shape, and appearance. Crowns are often recommended after large fillings, fractures, or root canal treatment.

A dental bridge is used to replace one or more missing teeth by anchoring an artificial tooth to the neighbouring natural teeth or crowns.

Crowns and bridges can help:

  • Restore the appearance of your smile

  • Improve chewing and speaking

  • Strengthen damaged teeth

  • Prevent surrounding teeth from shifting

Each restoration is carefully designed to match the colour and shape of your natural teeth for a comfortable and natural-looking result.

Root Canal Treatment

Root canal treatment is used to save a tooth that has become infected or severely decayed. Infection can reach the inner pulp of the tooth, causing pain, swelling, or sensitivity.

During root canal treatment, the infected tissue is carefully removed from inside the tooth. The root canals are then cleaned, disinfected, and sealed to prevent further infection.

This treatment helps:

  • Relieve dental pain

  • Eliminate infection

  • Preserve your natural tooth

  • Prevent the need for extraction

With modern dental techniques and anaesthesia, root canal treatment is usually no more uncomfortable than having a routine filling.

Tooth Extractions

Although preserving natural teeth is always our priority, sometimes a tooth may need to be removed to protect your overall oral health.

Extractions may be recommended if a tooth is:

  • Severely decayed

  • Broken beyond repair

  • Affected by advanced gum disease

  • Causing overcrowding

  • Impacted or infected

Our team ensures the procedure is carried out gently and comfortably using modern techniques and local anaesthesia. More complex extractions may need to be referred to the hospital or an oral surgeon.

If a tooth needs to be removed, we will also discuss suitable replacement options such as bridges, dentures, or dental implants to restore your smile.

Dentures

Dentures are custom-made removable appliances designed to replace missing teeth and restore both function and appearance.

They are carefully crafted to fit comfortably in your mouth and match the natural shape of your smile.

There are different types of dentures available, including:

  • Full dentures – replacing all teeth in the upper or lower jaw

  • Partial dentures – replacing several missing teeth while using remaining natural teeth for support

These can either be Acrylic (plastic) or Chrome (metal) dentures.

Dentures can help:

  • Restore your ability to chew and speak properly

  • Improve facial support and appearance

  • Replace missing teeth in a natural-looking way

  • Boost confidence in your smile

Modern dentures are designed to be more comfortable, natural-looking, and secure than ever before.
